Yeah, more delays in sc2. Blizzrd has been very quiet, some people are starting to worry beta wont happen in 2009 (im guessing it will be early/mid Dec).
Unrelated gaming notes:
You should try Plants Vs Zombies. Its a neat tower defense game.
And even tho I got a list of complaints against it Fear2 was decent (but short).

not sure why... but I often find myself going back to SC to play UMS maps, even tho war3 has a much more powerful map editor.... Must be the look and feel.
Im hoping they have the same fell in sc2 UMS.

i think its cause the units are smaller and a more predictable landscape

I sort of quit my job today.... so I have more time now  Installed SC and played a few UMS games. Was ok.... Im still using Hotshot[SF]. One of the problems with war3 is the attack and movement animations. ex: a vulture in sc can turn instantly and attack instantly. There are no units like that in war3. Even the faster units like riffleman(who attack almost instantly) still have a attack delay, and all units have movement delays. Some of them are relatively massive (like fiends). |

i got quakelive
i havent had any luck getting an online game to work yet though, only bot games
it just sits there saying awaiting state when i try to join real games
i search and search and searched and found 10 tons of guys with the same problem, but none of them even seemed to have the slightest idea what it was and none fixed it
im assuming its a port issue, i guessed all the port ranges quake3 uses, i couldnt find any info on ports quake live uses. but even with all those allowed i still cant get it to work..

ive got that open
i have 27950 to 27999 open (for halflife and steam and quake)
i have 27000? to 27030 open
some other single ports i read needed to be opened
anyway last i tried it the whole service was down for beta testing..
funny i thought thats why it was open to public
