The nether is very small, as a result its very likely others will show up at your portal even by accident when portaling in from their own portals

as a result please take these considerations into account

* DONT PUT A WALL OF LAVA ON YOUR PORTAL TO MURDER EVERYONE WHO SHOWS UP BY ACCIDENT
(not naming names, SPANONE, jackass)

* try to leave them an escape route so they can get back to their house, my gate room doors are unlocked

This. Also, if anybody is in need of help, I can help anybody build a completely autonomous portal so  you don't end up in other peoples' houses. Just ask and I'll give you a hand if you don't know how.

Vbelac has help the city of Orange and our portal setup,
we now have a functioning portal thanks to vbelac.  THANK YOU!

the basic method is, your nether portal X any Z are 1/8th of your overworld portal

so if they don't pair up automatically, travel to the location in the nether that has 1/8th X and Z

if your Y is way different it could also cause a problem but Y can be more fudgy
