Obviously, fortification is only a mild annoyance to some thieves and griefers. And you can't always be there or find the perp later to pearl them. What to do about it??

Well, I've been offline developing traps that target thievery and trespass, as well as complex machinations for protecting valuables... I can make different situations look the same as well; thereby causing confusion in the targeted subset of griefers. To clarify: I can make traps that look like protection, and protective systems that look like traps.

I've invented a path over lava that randomly appears and disappears in chunks.
(Nostalgic for those who've played Frogger or Sonic; this is just flipping evil.)

I've invented a capture trap.
(Wanna know who's been snooping around in your secret lair? Use this to find out.)

I've invented several "Lava Drop" traps.
(Don't like it when random people walk into your house and steal stuff? Use this.)

I've invented a proximity mine.
(Don't want peeps on your land? Use this.)

I've invented a digger mine.
(Protects buried valuables or tunnels from those digging straight down.)

I've invented a chicken mine.
(The longer you remain in the area, the more chickens hatch... so the issue creeps up on ya. More for revenge really.... Starts with 4, escalates to 576 in an hour or so.)

I've invented a villager initiated mine.
(Worried someone is interested in burning things and blowing them up? Build a shop selling lava and TNT, and use this contraption to make them pay.)

I've invented a special vault to hold Prison Pearls that are too dangerous to be used as slaves.
(Not going to be described due to OpSec.)

Small note, the digger mine will kill someone wearing enchanted diamond armor if you have a lava pool 6m below it.

I figured out how to make the disappearing path more evil/compact.

I've also created a path that appears in a lava pool when you hit a certain target with an arrow, but hit the wrong one and it drops you into water and immediately closes again. The trespasser's items are collectible from a hopper-chest at the bottom of the drowning trap. More like being fined for the crime than just Smegol's death.
