Someone has been trying to knock our server down today, they tried several times which prompted me to create a new script to ruin their attempts. now it will auto ban as soon as it detects the attack stopping it cold.

They are blocked at a level where they wont even be able to access the minecraft/java stack (at the iptables level) should make it have practically no measurable effect on the server almost as soon as it starts

Good riddance nuisance

The thing I find interesting is these people that come on grief then get pearled or banned and then start complaining about how crappy the server is or this and that.  The part I find interesting about how hard they protest is,  if the experience on the server ACTUALLY was so awful why put any energy to it at all?
