Don't forget protecting your buildings with citadel protections also protects them from burning down!
If you protect it, even with stone, the block will suppress and inhibit the spread of fire
It is easy to protect your buildings, 99% of all griefing is easily stopped with the most easily accessible materials in the game, STONE. If you don't protect your buildings don't be surprised if a griefer comes by and burns them..
All of the tools necessary to prevent griefing are easily accessible to all players on the server, block protection, snitch blocks, and prison pearls.. if you choose not to make use of it your taking your own risks.
My Mesa Point and oasis tower have been in the most frequenntly trafficed area in the game since we restarted the server and they have only suffered extremely minor grief on very infrequent occasions.. they are only protected with stone.
